Key Information To Aid You With Personal Development

Written by admin on . Posted in Life Coach

Where are you going in your life? Do you have any idea where you are and where you are headed? These are crucial questions and can only be answered by looking at your own personal development. This article will provide many pieces of advice on how to be your best.

A great self help tip is to force yourself to be social even when you don’t feel like it. It’s common for depressed people to isolate themselves and become a bit antisocial. This can ruin your friendships. Even though it might be uncomfortable, forcing yourself to be social will help you fight your depression.

Don’t allow procrastination to keep you from reaching your goals. It is all too easy to find reasons to put off taking the first step toward success. Also, the longer you wait, the harder it will be to get motivated. The truth is, if you start right now, you will quickly build momentum, allowing you to acheive your goals faster than you ever imagined possible.

Identify bad values in your life. Systemic and institutional bias can lead us to internalize faulty things, so it’s best to address any flaws in your belief system on your path to personal development. The better you understand the basis of your beliefs, the better you will feel about adhering to it.

Don’t ever be afraid to ask for help with your work. This can be very difficult if you are a person who has become used to doing everything themselves, but you need to learn to reach out and work with others. This is especially true if you work in a field that thrives on collaboration for group projects. You would be surprised at how much your group can get done.

In conclusion, you need to establish a clear idea of your current situation and what your life looks like in the future. Using the personal development ideas that have been provided in this article, you should hopefully find yourself much closer to attaining your short term and long term goals than previously imagined.

Relational Spirituality and Personal Leadership Influence Perspective

God is Love Scripture in Bible

Discovering God’s unconditional love, developing an intimate relationship with Him and being empowered by grace to compassionately love others represent the three elements that comprise relational spirituality, a concept that is vital for effective Christian leadership. Viewing life through an eternal lens is also an important ingredient for successful living and leadership. Furthermore, walking in the power of the Spirit is essential for spiritual growth as well as effectively leading others in their God-given destiny.

Relational spirituality is rooted in the biblical truth that God is a relational being and growing in an intimate relationship with Him, seeing ourselves as He sees us, and expressing our love for Him by loving others compassionately encompass the essence of this concept. Boa points out that a complete love for God opens the door to understand the biblical perspective of self-love, which in turn empowers the believer to become “others-centered.” Grasping the depth of all three elements that comprise the relational spirituality concept not only impacted my Christian leadership style but also changed my life forever. While growing up in a communist nation that always tried to infiltrate an atheistic agenda into the people’s minds, my family took me to church and instilled in me the religious values of Eastern Orthodoxy. I was instructed from a very young age how important good deeds are for God, and fearing the punishment of heaven caused me to always strive for good works and a display of perfect behavior. I was never aware that God loved me and my belief in Him was rooted in fear. This mindset progressively led me to later reject church and religion, and I embraced an atheistic perspective to life. Such decision brought freedom in my life, but in the same time confusion and lack of purpose. Not believing in God was liberating, because I did not have to obey any rules any more. But having no God emptied my life of any real purpose of existing and I was not finding peace in this conviction either. My soul was struggling for years to find answers to this dilemma, and one day I discovered God’s amazing grace and that saved my life. God, in His infinite love for me, sent a person my way to tell me how much He loves me and that His loyal love for me is “causeless, measureless, and ceaseless.” Nobody ever told me that God actually loves me and cares for me. When I chose Christ to be my Lord and Savior, I understood the profoundness of God’s unconditional love for me, and also for humanity. My response to His love was to give my life to Him completely, and to love Him completely. The truth that I “belong to Christ” and that nothing I do “can cause God to love [me] more, and nothing [I] I do can cause God to love [me] less” changed me from the inside out forever.

Jigsaw puzzle

“There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of every man which cannot be filled by any created thing, but only by God the Creator, made known through Jesus Christ.” – Blaise Pascal, French mathematician and philosopher

We live in a time and age like nobody else experienced before us. While we are the wealthiest and the healthiest people in history, the society that we live in is characterized by marital discord, fatherlessness, sexual abuse and assault, domestic violence, suicide, alcoholism, drugs, depression and anxiety. Suffering is everywhere and we live among hurting people in a broken world. People are frantically searching for purpose, meaning and value and their search is rooted in a pervasive sense of emptiness. In their quest to escape this feeling of emptiness, they think that wealth, consumerism, comfort, drugs, sex or alcohol will separate them from their pain, when in fact all these things just numb the pain for the moment. The truth is that the emptiness that we all have in our hearts has the shape of God and only God can fill it.
